I'm back. After seven weeks of intense work learning to understand the business aspects of my motorcycle shop, I'm now able to get back to GarageGames business. I will still be splitting some time between the two for the next couple of months, but the majority of my time will be here in the Garage. If you need me on IM, my hours are about 6AM to 12 or 1PM Pacific Time.

GDC 2003 wrap up. I'm finally starting to get dug out from under GDC.

On the eve of heading out for GDC '03, we are busily loading all of the demos, making sure our equipment will be there, finalizing meetings, sending out press releases, writing a presentation, and generally being busy, busy. In spite of all this effort, we are also trying to plan what is going to happen in this next year.

2003 will be the first year GarageGames has its own booth at the Game Developers Conference (GDC). It's the smallest one they make, but, hey, it's a start! We will have a garage-themed booth with two PC's and one Mac, and will be showing off our shipping games as well as highlighting some of the more prominent GarageGames studios and our corporate partners. If you are interested in having your studio or game highlighted at the conference, let us know. Details follow in the main body of this .plan.

I'm really vervous right now. Tim, Rick, Mark, Jay and I have been working non-stop for the past couple of weeks bringing up the Player's Site here on GarageGames. For better or worse, it's up! Please be gentle.

Monster Studios is getting ready to release its first product, Chain Reaction, on the soon to be announced GG Player's Site. We need to come up with a product EULA (End User License Agreement) that makes sense. Personally, I hate EULAs so I want to create one that is player friendly. Any help is appreciated.

In my last .plan, I promised to kick in some ideas that I think would work and that are somewhat innovative. Here they are.

I'm disappointed in the creativity being shown in the type of games the GarageGames community is coming up with.

I have been working with our web developers over the past month to create our Player's Site, and we will be rolling out the fruits of our labor soon. In the meantime, I have been solidifying our ideas about publishing non-TGE games, and need better information about our competitors.

Dynamix Closure Since I have had so many people ask me about the closing of Dynamix, I have decided to give you my take on it. Here is a reprint of a forum post that I made. I have purposely made this a GG only post. I do not want it spread out to the greater gaming community. Please respect my wishes. Jeff
