weapons that scare the enemy - models half done

I've been making some models recently. I have decided to keep my focus on some of the more prized weapons that are found in games... the ones that make huge explosions and inspire fear in your opponents.
I currently have no use for them so I have decided to create a content pack.
There will in total be six different models though I currently have only three that are complete enough to show. These ones still need a little work. I need to touch them up and may have to reduce the poly count but they are pretty much complete. All the models still need textures and I will add animations to the weapons as well as scripts.
The list (might add some more):
rpg
rpg rocket
frag grenade
stun grenade
grenade launcher
grenade launcher grenade
Here is what I have so far (remember, they are still a work in progress):
rpg rocket:

frag grenade:

grenade launcher:

They look great - only concern is they are very high poly - you should probably poly crunch them or re-do the barrels of everything before using in-game.

Yeah, I need to lower the poly count quite a lot in the grenade launcher especially. What kind of count would you guys suggest? I was thinking between 2000 - 3000, or is that too much?

The problem with the grenade launcher isn't the poly count it's the distribution of polys. It's basically a girder and a cheese wedge combined with some perfectly smooth cylinders.

When I add a fire animation I'll do the fin pop out thing, thanks for the link. It really helps to do research on the weapons when modeling.

All right, I'll add more detail to the rails and the handles. When I add a fire animation I'll do the fin pop out thing, thanks for the link. It really helps to do research on the weapons when modeling.

I would suggest maximum 1000 polys, average from 400 to 700 depending on the size and complexity of the model.
