GDC Game Demos, Straight from the GG Booth!

Holy. Cow. Last week was a wild ride for all of us at GarageGames. While we were hoping for a decent turnout and a chance to meet some of the people who have made our site a hub for game development, we were floored by the traffic we received in our GDC booth. Thanks to everyone who partcipated, both on site in San Francisco and online at our ustream channel. Never in our wildest dreams had we imagined such a great show!
As promised, we took videos of all of our booth demonstrations. My fellow GG'ers will be posting blogs soon of our Torque 3D and live chat interviews, but for now, feast your eyes on these Torque game demonstrations that took place in our booth last week (note that many of these presentations are presented uncut and unedited from their original presentation):
GarageGames shows off PlayLegions, powered by InstantAction
Perfect Dork Studios shows off Box Macabre, made with Torque X 3D
Stickman Studios shows off Buccaneer, made with TGEA and published on Steam
Tandem Games shows off Bumble Tales, made with TGB and to be published on Big Fish
Sudden Games shows off Sushi to Go, made iTGB
Thanks again to everyoe involved with GDC 2009. I'm done for the year! But keep your eyes peeled for a few more post-GDC blogs from GarageGames.

A great insight into what happened in GDC (you just need to turn your speakers up a bit! Actually some of the background chatter was really interesting too!)

Wow, Box Macabre really does seem like Super Metroid. FINALLY! Someone is making a 3D Platformer / Side Scroller in the style of Metroid. I've been saying that since the original Metroid Prime (though I do love the Prime series too). Kudos, can't wait for the full game!Brian

I think "South Pacific" will be making an appearance in a Torque 3D dev blog here soon...meanwhile I'm damning the hotel internets for their slow upload bandwidth...
