Pumpkin Chop Sales Stats

Now that Halloween is over, I've had what I'm assuming will be my largest spike in sales. At this point, things will most likely start dropping off (though with a bit of luck, not *too* quickly) so I figure I might as well talk about my sales so far.
To date, theres been:
- 27920 trial downloads
- 3128 sales
One thing that seems somewhat unusual (though not entirely unexpected in this case), is my sales have steadily climbed so far. A few days ago Microsoft added it to the Shocktober promotion on the dash. Sales at that point saw about a 70% increase over my previous average of around 165/day. Then the 30th and 31st naturally saw a large upswing due to Halloween, going from about 275/day since the promotion started, to 414 and then 483 purchases.

As expected for a Halloween app, the US was the primary seller by a very large margin, though the UK and Canada pulled in just over 400 sales between the two. The other countries all sold under a dozen copies each. I've not checked, but I assume most I didn't stay on the most popular list for most of them.
Due to the massive boost in trial downloads on Halloween, I'm sitting solidly at the #1 Most Popular slot on the Xbox (in the US anyway). Hopefully being #1 will help it hang on for a few more days of decent sales before it disappears until next year.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments and I'll try to answer them.

Conversion rate is the ratio between purchases and trial downloads. In this case, 3128 / 27920 = 0.112 or 11.2% of trial users purchased the game.

I wonder how much different Halloween traditions had with regards to those sales. To me it seems like your highest sales were attributed to countries that associated a pumpkin and the whole trick or treat attitude to the 31st.

If I'd released close to Halloween, I suspect it might have done a little better in those other countries. Since it wasn't as popular there, it fell off the lists there quickly, so when Halloween rolled around, it wouldn't have been visible to them. But of course, I'd have sacrificed a lot of sales in the main countries the two weeks or so leading up to Halloween.

I'm sure it played a major role. The countries other than US, UK, and Canada accounted for 31 out of 3128 sales - just under 1%. To compare, Ping Time (released back in April) had approximately 17% of its sales come from those other countries, several of which weren't even available when it first came out.If I'd released close to Halloween, I suspect it might have done a little better in those other countries.
