Arabian like Sword

I am working on several things other than just interiors for RW. One of which is this Arab-like Sword. It is almost done but needs adjustments in not just the size but some texturing.

On another note but still related could I implement this sword by copying the sword script and just change the names and shape link?

The sword feels quite bland to me. I think it really needs to be soemthign unique looking and fit with the requirements for Realm Wars.

Add some additional polygons to it so that the form doesn't look and feel so rough. Then spend some time doing research and work on the texture so that the sword looks and feels ornate/cool, powerful and incredibly dangerous all at the same time.

To use the sword with the image intersect thing you would need to add 2 nodes, a damage start node and a damage end node (don't know the exact names) to the beginning and end of the blade.

Oh, looked at the sword shape file and guess i was pretty close. They are "damageStart" and "damageEnd".

I think that the blade needs a nice design texture (like an engraving of a wierd language) and a symbol on it, rather than just slapping on more polies. It would be nice to see it in a smoother form, though.... How well does Torque's auto-LOD work, anyhow? ^^
