I was thinking about a game where a school has a mini "war" between the grades and classes, where students made mini weapons out of rubberbands and paperclips, nothing lethal or seriously damaging, that can be found on the ground in the hallway or on a desk or in your backpack or something of that sort. I thought that this might not be a good idea because of the obvious legal complications. What do you think? Is the possibility of liability issues to great for this kind of game?

and make wedgies a weapon.

Remember to have teachers patroling the corridors, and and NPC kids that call the teachers!and make wedgies a weapon.

Ahhhh how about blury and doubled vision for 30 seconds after getting hit in the eye. He won't be able to see well at all and will miss alot so that will be his penalty for getting tagged in such a hard to hit area. It would be cool to see the character you just poped 5 seconds ago running by with huge water drops squirting out of his eyes as he rubs them. And since he is rubbing his eyes he won't be able to get hit in the eye while he is blinded. But if you hit him with a paperclip his vision will be normal again when he respawns....or maybe he should have blury doubled vision for the whole 30 or so seconds no matter how many times your hit and respawned. I think it would make for a cool visual effect as well.-Ajari-

Yeah Lee, lol wedgies could be the close quarters move like the pistol whip in FPS games.

Good idea about the wedgies. and characters who have been wedgied will walk funny for a little while and their vision will be bobbly. keep the ideas coming, thanks to all of you. and maybe extra points for hitting a teacher.

Maybe instead of dying, you get caught and have to go to detention. not for a long time, just until you break back out...

Or maybe the school is a riot because they are throwing kids in the dungeon... So you have to escape from the dungeon.

The dungeon could be the old furnace or boiler room. Like in the older schools built in the 1950's and 1960's.

and also, what do you think could be the name?

And there could be capture the flag where the flag is the teacher guarding the dungeon. you have to knock him out with some paperclips and stuff then drag him back to your dungeon. and assault where you would have to raid the other class's dungeon. and also, what do you think could be the name?

I am potentially interested in helping with a project like this... If you are serious that is. I am a programmer

Yeah so long as "death" and "children" aren't in the same equation, i wouldn't see any issues from anyone really. But that's just me.

Reminds me of the old year 8 vs year 9 war of 1999 i think ;).. Basically at lunch times we'd hearl appels and fruit at high speed across the quadrangle.. yeah.. those were the days.

Hmmm but you gotta have story in a game. WHAT is the root cause of this massive fight? gotta be something funny.

Well i was thinking that the teachers were trying to brain wash all the kids into being perfect students. the AI in the game would be the students who have already been brain washed, and you're a kid trying to "survive" along with a small group of friends.
