Excellent!, the plus exporter was a godsend for us Milkshape users, going to try this one out now.

Now I can't wait for MS3D-2.

Thanks, Chris! Never encountered 'collision detail level' quirk before...but good to know it's fixed. What version of Ms3d is this compiled for? the latest[1.7.6]? I'm still running, v1.7.4.... And, thanks for the credit!

When I open the skeleton or mrBox files the Joints are all massivly scaled and out of position. They also don't seem to be bound to any part of the model. Anyone else have the same problem?

Ok, it looks like I had to change the default joint size in my preferences from 1. to 0.07 to size the joints to about the right size.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I've made a small update to the download to include a PDF version of the documentation for people that are into that sort of thing. If anyone knows a good (free) way to convert multiple HTML (or a CHM) to a single PDF let me know. I ended up using one of those virtual PDF printers, which are great except that you lose internal links and can't set up bookmarks etc.

@Rex: The collision detail level problem occurred if you had a mesh listed before a collision mesh in milkshape, and at the same LOD as the collision mesh. The mesh detail level would be exported, but not the specially named 'collision' detail level. I'm still using 1.7.4 as well - must get around to downloading 1.7.6 sometime.....

I use Open Office exclusively now, works a treat. I started using it over Orofice 2003 for the pdf export, as I email out my invoices. Using pdf means never having to say "Orofice version problems" again.

Another update of the exporter is available (2.5.0) - I've added a couple of neat features for DSQ exporting. As usual, the download is available here.

Changes since last version:
- Added option to split DSQ export into multiple files
- Added option to generate .cs file for DSQ export
- Updated documentation

Enjoy!

I am unable to add the exporter to my Milkshape program. I copied and pasted as described in the help file included in your download. The main problem I am having is I am unable to use the objects that I create in Milkshape in the Torque game engine. I am only using the demo versions that came with the 3D Programming All in One book.

Hi Richard,

Quote:I am only using the demo versions that came with the 3D Programming All in One book.

I assume you mean demo versions of TGE and Milkshape? I'm not sure which version of Milkshape (if any) is included with the book.

If you are using the latest version of the ms2dts exporter (from the download link above), you will need at least v1.8.3 of Milkshape installed, as stated in the introduction page of the exporter help file.
