request: wooden fort.

Anyone care to actually do some stuff for RW right now?
I'd like to see a nice little wooden fort. Or at least sections of wall we can place together to create said fort.
Each section should be seperate, so that it can then be joined by end sections. Each section should have a firing step, just about the hight of where the orc holds the weapon when firing.
If anyone's feeling brave. They could also do us some wooden huts.
Basically, it'd be nice to have a village feel going on.
Phil.

I'd already made the palisades for my own purposes, just added the 'sharpened' tips in 15 minutes ...

wont players just run around the stakes? will they do any damage if the point touches you?

Damage from running into the spikes can be done.

Anyone tried doing the sort of old "roundhouse" feel from the middle ages?
Anyway, like to see those in a map along with the palisades.

Not sure about the wall and floor textures Gary, but they look pretty cool. I want one to live in! :)) Anyone tried doing the sort of old "roundhouse" feel from the middle ages?

Excellent work Ken. Great work on following the concept art and ideas.

Phil: no problem, I'll post them as a resource. But first I discovered a problem with the sloping palisades when aligning them with level sections that I hadn't noticed before going through this little exercise. I'll tweak it right, then post a zip with both kinds of walls.

Edit: Ok, I opened one of the maps in Quark and saw that the texture TRM_RIVETMTL is used and it's not part of the zip.

Hey Ken. The texture for the metal parts don't come through while all the other textures do. Something get misnamed?Edit: Ok, I opened one of the maps in Quark and saw that the texture TRM_RIVETMTL is used and it's not part of the zip.
