Hey GGers,
I am part of a volunteer team of game developers that are trying to create a 3d ski game with a stylish slant. The main aim is to enter this game into next years IGF as well as having a polished demo by the end. We need someone to start creating our menu's for us. While we have basic requirements as to needing certain buttons we are not really concerned with the medium and are open to something a bit different. The only real technical requirement is having the buttons seperate to the background, in seperate photoshop files or seperate pages or seperate 3d files .. you get the idea. This might be a way to gain a lil' experience in games that shouldn't be that taxing.
anyway here is the Blurb
Project name:
Snow
Brief description:
We are creating a 3d ski game with a stylish slant. It will essentially be an arcade racer with room for extra modes. We have some innovative but realistic features for a small volunteer team.
Target aim:
Our target aim is to enter IGF 2010 [www.igf.com] aswell as creating a presentable, hopefully polished demo that we can all be proud of making.
Compensation:
There is no financial compensation as we are a volunteer team primarily. There is the possibility of gaining credibility assuming we do well in IGF. We do offer moderate training in 3d for potential candidates, particularly unwrapping and texturing in 3d.
Technology:
The target system is the pc. The engine we are currently using is TGEA (www.garagegames.com) which is a c++ commercial engine. It has it's own scripting language called torquescript. For 3d artists the 3d software you use is irrelevant for inanimate 3d models. Only when animation is involved does it matter for compatibility's sake.
Talent needed:
Right now we need a game menu artist.

BELOW IS A CONCEPT PIC JUST TO GIVE SOME IDEA OF THE style OF THE ACTUAL GAME
