I started playing around in tsStatic, and managed to get static shapes to render shadows, but they are not as detailed as this.
any suggestions on getting the detail?

Stencil shadows on statics? Nice! This'd be a great benefit for TGE users, in terms of a little bit of graphical niceness...

Interseting, but doesn't the engine already do shadows for Polysoup objects?

Not stencil shadows, or self-shadows, as far as I know.

Oops I forgot I modified my code base to allow self shadows. I had done this back in TGEA 1.03. The version I did for that is up on TDN.

...Self-shadowing is enabled in recent builds of TGEA, no? At least, it happens on Players.

Further... I can't tell whether this is TGE or TGEA. I guess since he calls it a 'polysoup' object it'd be TGEA, actually......Self-shadowing is enabled in recent builds of TGEA, no? At least, it happens on Players.
