Texturing Help

this is very hard to explain but ill try my best. im working in torque constructor and im now texturing the walls. Me and another guy from the team is making a fps zombie game. i make my own textures for everything, but i was wondering. it is a scary game and i want everything to look bloody and muddy. when i make blood wallpaper to go inside the house it looks like crap because the whole wall is bloody and i just want like a couple of spots bloody being more realistic like instead of the wallpaper just duplicating and the blood is all the way down the wall in the same places. so, is there anyway to like make a image with a nontransparent of blood and put those images in places on the walls randomly or something please help i would really like to and thanks for help in advance! :)

create a single plane dts with a transparrent blood splatter on it, and place them manually into your map wherever you want them.this can also be used for trash, newspapers etc on the floors.

You also have the option of using the sgDecal projector which simply projects a texture onto any surface. I've used it in combination with DTS decals to great effect.

DTS decals would have to be placed from within Torque through the World Editor. If you're using TGE 1.5+ you can embed DTS shapes in an Interior and export using the "Export to DIF" option in Constructor to retain those embedded shapes. I never actually embedded DTS decals this way but it should work just the same, although the transparencies won't show up inside of Constructor -- it's something worth trying. You also have the option of using the sgDecal projector which simply projects a texture onto any surface.
