Looking back to move forward

MiniOne Racing
More on this in the Christophe's .plan.
Technically there is still some work to be done :
- Merge our source with the HEAD
- Taking advantage of the Lighting Pack. Thanks to John Kabus for his exceptional patience ;o)
- Gamepad solution for OSX. No news from peoples who projected to work on HID integration on the TGE, so I may need to try by my own.
- Altivec optimizations (OSX) ? I encountered difficulties to compile with VAST, I think I'll wait for TGE 1.4 who may offer some Altivec integrations and for XCode 2...

Game Project Manager (GPM)
During the last two years our little team tried to keep our project correctly organized and a persistent communication. It worked quite well cause we are a very small team (2-3) and we had the chance to be able to meets in person at least every couple of weeks. This worked since two years but it's far from perfect.
After some digging we find some web-based project managers but none were adapted to game development.
As we currently are between two projects I decided to take 2-3 weeks to build a project manager who fulfilled our needs. I'm working as a web developer for since 3+ years so I picked my favorite tools (PHP/MySQL/Smarty), made a design document, worked on it during my free time and ... voil

I'd love more information regarding your GPM--looks outstanding. Right now, we're haphazardly tracking everything via direct communication and forum messages, and it's starting to get -way- too large for that.

I looked around several months ago, but couldn't really find any free/share/low cost tools to meet my requirements, and I'll never go back to Microsoft Project for a project of this type. What you've put together looks like it covers just about everything we need!

Did you try any of the open source groupware packages?

E-Groupware integrates wiki, project management, forums etc into one db.

@Stephen - Most information I can give on GPM are listed in this .plan. We're still discussing of the future of this tool. But right now it's not ready to be distributed in any way. If any decision is taken you will be informed in a next .plan ;o)

@Mark - I tried a few of them, but none have the little details we need. Most of them are too big or too far away from game development. I wanted something with fast reaction times, with the right types/numbers of options to submit a case...
